John Anderson Hire once again provided toilet hire facilities at the Remembrance Day Procession on 11th November 2018. We were delighted to be part of ‘A Nation’s Thank you’ given the special anniversary and unique commemoration on the 100thanniversary of the signing of the Armistice. During the morning 10,000 members of the public were able to process past the Cenotaph in central London and pay their own special tribute to all the service men and women who died during the First World War and in subsequent wars.
On the 10th November John Anderson Hire provided toilet hire at the Lord Mayor’s Show. For more information read: John Anderson Hireprovide toilet services for Lord Mayor’s Show and procession. Although the Remembrance Day Procession was held in central London on the same weekend this was a completely separate booking and an example of how we are able to provide toilet hire for large scale multiple bookings on the same weekend.
For the Remembrance event we provided the following toilet hire units:
- 16 Trailer Toilet Units (mixed male/female)
- 4 Disabled Toilets
- 2 standby team/engineers
- 4 cleaners
- 3 additional units in the high security area at the Cenotaph in Whitehall which was attended by the Queen, as well as politicians and military representatives
Craig Wheeler, Operations Manager, John Anderson Hire Limited, St Albans, Hertfordshire said: ‘John Anderson Hire Limited has a royal warrant for the hire of portable toilets, so we get invited to provide toilet hire at several events where the Queen and the Royal family are in attendance. For the Remembrance Day Procession we had to provide three additional toilet hire units near the Cenotaph, all the remaining toilets were located on The Mall. Security is a major consideration when organising this type of event in London and we are used to the security process involved. As part of our security preparation members of the John Anderson Hire team were fully vetted by the Royal Parks security team and Remembrance event security. All our toilet hire teams also had to have name badges to identify themselves where necessary.’
Craig Wheeler, Operations Manager, John Anderson Hire, St Albans, Hertfordshire continued: ‘Our toilet hire team delivered all the units on Friday 9th November so they were all set up early and ready for the procession on Sunday. We also provided an engineer on standby in case of any technical difficulties on the day. Our team removed all the units on Sunday by 9pm and returned them to our St Albans premises. The event organiser was very pleased with the service provided. If you have a large event to organise you need to find a toilet hire company that can guarantee all the toilet hire provision you require for your event. On this weekend we also provided toilet units for the Lord Mayor’s Show, so it is a good example of how we manage multiple events at the same time.’
