On the 10thNovember 2018 John Anderson Hire provided toilet hire services for the Lord Mayor’s show and procession in London. This route map gives information on where the parade is and shows the route our toilet hire units covered. The attached photo is taken at one of the first of the prestigious events that John Anderson Hire attended. We are proud to have been providing toilet hire facilities for the Lord Mayor’s show for twenty years.
According to the Lord Mayor’s Show website ‘For more than 800 years the newly elected Lord Mayor of London has been rowing, riding or marching off to the distant village of Westminster to swear loyalty to the Crown and begin his or her year in office. Over the centuries that journey became known as the Lord Mayor’s Show. It has been a mediaeval carnival, a renaissance spectacle and a military parade, and it is still the longest and most splendid civic procession in the world.’
The Lord Mayor’s Show toilet installation took the John Anderson Hire team two days to assemble. Our toilet units were moved into central London in preparation for the show and moved back to our St Albans, Hertfordshire premises after the show had finished on Saturday 10thNovember. We took the following toilet hire units to the event. This included 16 disabled toilets that were requested by the show’s organisers.
- 16 Trailer Units (mixed male / female)
- 9 Plastic Units (mixed)
- 16 Disabled Toilets
- 10 standby staff
Neil Younger, Director, John Anderson Hire, St Albans, Hertfordshire said: ‘We are used to providing toilet hire facilities for such largescale events as we have a royal warrant. Our John Anderson Hire team has worked with the organisers of the Lord Mayor’s show for many years. The organisers particularly requested a large number of disabled units that we were able to supply. Our team at the event were aware of security processes and knew what to do to arrange access to the event. The John Anderson Hire team of 10 standby staff attended the toilets by 7am on Saturday and helped the breakdown of the installation at 3pm.’
Neil Younger, Director, John Anderson Hire, St Albans, Hertfordshire continued: ‘On Sunday November 11thour toilet hire facilities were again being used in central London at the Remembrance Day Parade. It is quite normal for John Anderson Hire to provide toilet hire facilities for multiple events on the same weekend. Both events combined only used approximately 20% of our toilet hire fleet. Although we provide toilet hire for many large scale events and have worked with our partners for several years we can also provide single toilet units for construction sites or provide toilet hire for smaller events such as weddings. Getting the right toilet hire regardless of the size of your event is essential and you should choose a toilet hire provider you can trust.
