Toilet hire units used at Alexandra Palace, London
One engineer was on standby at the venue as John Anderson Hire had a 5 trailer toilet unit set up within the Great Hall at Alexandra Palace. This included 4 x12 Bay Ladies Toilet Units and one Portable Male Urinal.
Neil Younger, Director, John Anderson Hire, St Albans, Hertfordshire said:
‘Alexandra Palace, London contacted us as most of their events during October and November 2018 were sold out. As Alexandra Palace has a 10,000 capacity and a limited number of fixed toilets at the venue the events team wanted to provide more toilets for their visitors. They were particularly concerned about reducing the queue for ladies toilets so we worked with the team to set up new portable toilet facilities behind the bar area.
How the John Anderson Hire team worked at Alexandra Palace
The John Anderson hire team required security clearance to set up the toilet hire units at the London venue. Many of the concerts were back to back so our team were working during the night to prepare the toilets for the following day. Our John Anderson Hire team took away thousands of litres of effluent to the Thames Water disposal points. During this servicing process the team charged and prepared the toilets for the next event. The water in the toilet units was ‘Elsan Bule’ a blackberry flavour. It is used in the recirculating toilets and requires emptying. Also the soap units where guests wash their hands were restocked daily. Our team wore full hi-vis safety equipment during this process as health and safety were our main concerns.
Neil Younger, Director, John Anderson Hire, St Albans, Hertfordshire continued:
‘This was the first use of the refurbished 12 Bay all Female Toilet Unit and the feedback we received from the Alexandra Palace events team was very positive. Choosing the right toilet hire provider if you have large events like this is essential as there is a large amount of work that is done during the night to make sure the toilets are fully functioning for the following day. So make sure you choose a toilet hire provider you can trust and who is used to providing toilet hire on a similar scale. To find out about our toilet hire range and pricing information please call us on 01727 822485, or complete the booking form for a toilet hire quote on the John Anderson Hire website.’
